A Retrospective in Paint: An Introspection of Life is built on the deep fulfillment of embracing one of humanity’s oldest creative practices, painting, to explore the beauty of human thought and design. Each piece begins long before paint touches the canvas, with hours spent building the canvas, underpainting, sketching, reworking, adding details, and reflecting. The paintings explore the complexity of the human experience through color, form, and composition.
About the artist: Brianna Loftin pursued painting at the University of Houston. Her work has been exhibited at several art museums throughout Houston, and she is reconnecting with the emotive, tactile process of creating with oil, acrylic, and watercolor.
