The Texas Medical Center thanks the Houston Botanical Garden for bringing a burst of vibrant color and rich Chinese cultural traditions to Helix Park.
Radiant Nature returned to TMC Helix Park in early 2025 through an ongoing partnership with Houston Botanic Garden. The vibrant installations of illuminated silk sculptures, created by Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc., transformed Helix Park into an immersive celebration of nature, art, and cultural craftsmanship.
Originally designed for the Houston Botanic Garden, Radiant Nature reimagines natural landscapes as glowing environments that highlight the beauty and biodiversity of the world around us. Each sculpture is handcrafted from colorful silk, illuminated from within, and inspired by traditional Chinese lantern-making techniques and design elements.
A team of 25 artisans traveled to the United States to complete the intricate assembly in just one month, bringing this exhibition to life.
About the artist: Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc., is a company that specializes in creating and organizing lantern and light festivals. They are the largest producer of Chinese lantern festivals in North America.
