Luna the Moon
PastTMC Commons - TMC Helix Park
October 2024
Luna the Moon, a luminous and larger-than-life presence, was brought to the Texas Medical Center as part of October Odyssey, a month-long series in October 20204 focused on awareness, art, and astronomy. Created to spark curiosity and draw attention to the series, Luna the Moon served as both a visual anchor and a symbol of cosmic exploration.
Measuring 8 meters wide, the glowing moon inflatable was first installed at the TMC Commons Lawn at Bertner, where it captivated passersby with its scale. Later, Luna the Moon was relocated to TMC Helix Park, where it found a new home for the remainder of the series.

Submit Your Art!
TMC Helix Park invites artists to be part of our rotating art collection. We are looking to temporarily showcase work that reflects creativity, curiosity, and connection through sculpture, installation, photography, or other original mediums.
