A Conversation with Bill McKeon and Mayor Whitmire

“Houston” is a word with many meanings and milestones and where over 2 million people call home. The 4th largest city in the US, with 145 languages and 90 consular offices, the largest medical complex in the world, and was the first word on the moon. Houston is a city with no limits.

Mayor Whitmire started his political career at age 22. Serving as a State Representative and State Senator, Whitmire has fought tirelessly for district representation across Houston. Learning to be a public servant from a young age from his parents, Mayor Whitmire’s lessons in compassion and empathy guide him daily. John Whitmire’s extraordinary life experiences, unwavering dedication, and proven track record in getting things done make him a true public servant committed to the well-being of Houstonians.
