A Conversation with Bill McKeon and Reginald DesRoches

Reginald DesRoches serves as the eighth president of Rice University and fulfills the roles of civil and environmental engineering and mechanical engineering professor. He is not only the president but also the CEO, which encompasses students, eight schools, and 900 plus faculty members. Before this role, DesRoches was Rice’s Howard Hughes Provost and William and Stephanie Sick Dean of Engineering.

Under DesRoches’ leadership, the university has seen the development and implementation of numerous new majors and professional master’s programs, including a new undergraduate business major and online programs. Rice has reached new levels of distinction nationally and internationally for impactful research, award-winning scholarship, and insightful creative work. He strives to build graduate programs that are of the same distinction as Rice’s top-rated undergraduate programs while maintaining Rice’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

On October 8th, join us for a conversation between President & CEO of the Texas Medical Center, Bill McKeon, and President and CEO of Rice University, Reginald DesRoches. A conversation you won’t want to miss, we will take the audience through the life of President DesRoches – born in Haiti, grew up in Queens, and is now leading one of the Best Colleges in National University Top 20 schools.
