Cracking the Code: Phil Sharp and the Biotech Revolution
The James P. Allison Institute at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will host a screening of the documentary film, “Cracking the Code: Phil Sharp and the Biotech Revolution” on Thursday, Oct. 23. The documentary tells the inspiring story of Nobel laureate Phil Sharp, Ph.D., who in 1977 co-discovered RNA splicing, revolutionizing the understanding of genetics and disease. After the screening, a conversation with Sharp and fellow Nobel laureate Jim Allison, Ph.D., vice president Immunobiology and Allison Institute director, along with director Bill Haney will take place.
The film was produced by the same team as the documentary “Jim Allison: Breakthrough, Cracking the Code.”
