TMC Helix Park Book Club | First Lie Wins

In partnership with Blue Willow Bookshop, we’re excited to host our quarterly TMC Helix Park Book Club.

Get ready for a thrilling summer read on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in the TMC3 Collaborative Building’s Levy Conference Room as we discuss First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston.

This novel follows a woman living as “Evie Porter” who appears to have the perfect Southern life, but her identity is fake, assigned by a mysterious handler for a con job. As she targets a man named Ryan, she unexpectedly develops real feelings and begins to imagine a different future. However, her dangerous past and the high-stakes nature of her work threaten to unravel everything if she makes even one mistake.

Lieutenant Ingrid Pinzon of TMC Police will be leading this discussion. With over 10 years of experience in law enforcement, she will discuss how deception and identity fraud occur in the real world, along with practical tips on recognizing common scams, protecting your personal information, and reducing your risk of becoming a victim of fraud.
